(Sidestep has made themself pretty scarce when on Eltrut as of recently, making heavy use of their ability to conceal themself from the perceptions of others and sticking to places where they're unlikely to be bothered.

They are not getting caught again.

They're hanging out in the shadow of a building making themself mostly invisible when they notice Dojima. Oh hey, it's Turo's boyfriend.

...He hasn't told anyone about them, has he? They know Turo trusts him, but Turo trusts them so they're pretty sure his judgement leaves something to be desired.

Perhaps it's their suspicion that compels them to get up and follow him, reaching out to see if they can pick up anything from his mind, though it could also be curiosity or boredom. They don't really have the best moral compass... or any real respect for privacy.)

[ Fortunately for the hero-turned-villian, Dojima was a complete, utter normie. There was no barrier whatsoever to his thoughts, so he'd get a front row seat to Dojima's inner commentary.

At the moment, he was looking at some metal ingots at a smithy, fingers brushing along one. ]

--Can't really determine the quality of this iron unless I use my power on it, but there's no way I could get it back to it's proper shape as nice as this. Might need to hold off.

[ Shifting his hand into his satchel, feeling the various ingots of metal already in there. ]

Really, I have enough iron for now, anyway. I should get some more silver in case we deal with anymore undead monsters--

[ The image would flash-- A rotting face, hands pinning you down, but just being able to move one hand, and having no alternative--

Slamming a fork into the side of it's head, and it... disintegrating. Dojima's expression would flinch somewhat. Not a full on grimace, but... clear that it was an unpleasant thought. ]

...Yeah. Definitely more silver.

(Huh. Metal powers. That wasn't what they expected.

From his world or from the tattoo, they wonder?

It's too bad he apparently won't use them right now. They'd influence him to do it anyway if they still had the ability--it'd be useful to know the extent of what he can do.

The flash of the image catches them off guard and they flinch, almost instinctively wrapping their aura of invisibility tighter around themself. Was that a zombie? Fuck.)

[ And Dojima was none the wiser that he had surprised the telepath, just continuing on his way after a smile and 'thank you' to the smithy.
His next stop though, was perhaps a bit strange for a full adult man-- looking at some hand made toys at a stall]

[ Leading to a soft smile on his face. Turo at their desk, working away on a plush that looked like a small pink animal with a curl of hair and pink fairy wings-- ]

Guy's so damn talented. Wish he could meet Kanji-- [ Surly faced Teenage boy, bleach blond hair, a scar over his eye, piercings--

Working diligently on an extremely detailed crochet rabbit in the middle of what looked like a showa era Japanese living room, a silver haired teen boy and young girl with pig tails beside him at the low table, before they all looked up at-- ]

I bet they could learn from one another, it'd be good for both of them.

[ He'd reach down, picking up a cat plush toy. Holding it up and looking it all over--]

...Would Nanako like something like this...?

[ That girl from before coming into focus, smiling so happily, holding a plush toy he'd gotten for her, just-- as a gift. The love--parental, protective, familial love was practically radiating from him as he thought of her, welcoming him home from work, sitting with him at the living room table, singing the Junes jingle-- ]

The images in his thoughts clear up the who--he really is fond of him, isn't he?--but they're not sure if that's a part of Turo's full name or just something he came up with.

Damn. They really are close. It's weird to witness the way Dojima thinks of Turo, imagines him meeting the people he loves. Guy's got a propensity for taking in random kids, huh? They know introducing a partner to the children is a pretty significant step in a relationship...

It hurts, almost. The way he sees Turo as being a part of things. As being a person. Turo probably could be, too. He's not broken like they are.

They creep closer, try to peer deeper into Dojima's mind.)
