I came across a place that cooks the foods you have remarked on missing, and felt that- well. These plus several other items would make for a good dinner tonight. [The place was rather popular as well. He'd needed to time things just right to get there early enough to bring home this still steaming food.
The gyoza were set down, and another container pulled out to be placed down as well.]
[ --And yeah-- it was. It was gyoza... something he had mentioned once was his favorite sort of food. All of this was stuff he loved to eat, wasn't it...? ]

(Sidestep has made themself pretty scarce when on Eltrut as of recently, making heavy use of their ability to conceal themself from the perceptions of others and sticking to places where they're unlikely to be bothered.

It hurts, almost. The way he sees Turo as being a part of things. As being a person. Turo probably could be, too. He's not broken like they are.

Which begs the question: why the handcuff mug? Is it because he's a cop at home? Or is it because they read that one memory of his wife his player told Shiny about a while back? Or dome other embarrassing incident involving handcuffs? He knows that they've probably read at least some of his most embarrassing secrets by now, so... they will never clarify.
